QSC now managing SAP operations for Gruner + Jahr
Cologne, 31 May 2016 – The Hamburg-based publishing house Gruner + Jahr has assigned responsibility for operating most of its SAP systems to QSC AG. Following a one-year transition period, 23 SAP and further IT systems are now being operated in full from the Hamburg data centre of the Cologne-based ICT service specialist. The contract has a 60-month term.
Gruner + Jahr is one of Europe’s largest printing and publishing houses. With more than 500 media activities, magazines and digital offerings, including well-known brands such as STERN, BRIGITTE, GEO and 11 FREUNDE, Gruner + Jahr reaches millions of readers in more than 20 countries worldwide.Early last year, Gruner + Jahr commissioned QSC AG to take over its SAP operations and other SAP-related systems, such as those used for document processing, accounting and bank communications. Alongside technical implementation and the integration of relevant services, internal ticket systems at Gruner + Jahr have also been connected to the support department at QSC AG to facilitate direct communications in this area. One key challenge presented by the project involved migrating IT systems to QSC without impeding day-to-day operations at Gruner + Jahr.“The successful migration of SAP operations to QSC AG will immediately offer us greater operating efficiency, while also giving us more scope to work on further developing our overall IT organisation”, commented Pietro Tomasino, IT Director at Gruner + Jahr.Contact for enquiries:
