Experton singles out QSC as “Cloud Leader”
Cologne, 18 June 2015. In its latest “Cloud Vendor Benchmark 2015” study, the Experton Group has this year singled out QSC AG as a leading cloud service company in three categories. QSC thus received top marks in the categories of “IaaS – (Hybrid) Managed Enterprise Public”, “IaaS – Hybrid Managed (SMEs)” and “Communications as a Service (CaaS)”.
Between early January and mid-March 2015, the study investigated more than 490 providers of cloud services, cloud technologies and cloud transformation services in the German market. Of these, 160 providers were assessed as relevant and analysed in greater detail by market researchers at the Experton Group. In addition, this year’s study specifically focused for the first time on the SME market with regard to “Infrastructure-as-a-Service” (IaaS) offerings.
In its study, Experton underlined that QSC AG had “distinct competitive strengths” in the IaaS market for the SME customer segment. The market researchers particularly highlighted the company’s end-to-end responsibility given its proprietary network and proprietary data centres located in Germany.
Pure Enterprise Platform: all cloud services from a single source
This is what Experton has to say: “QSC offers both managed private IaaS services and enterprise managed IaaS services. It has set itself apart, particularly in the latter field, by offering a convincing broad-based portfolio and a comprehensive range of accompanying services.” Experton stated that QSC was “on the right course” and, with its Pure Enterprise Platform, was building “a state-of-the-art platform for customers of all sizes”.
As an all-round multi-cloud solution, QSC’s Pure Enterprise Cloud will in future enable companies to draw both on traditional IT applications as well as new public and private cloud services on a common platform. This solution thus offers the utmost flexibility when it comes to implementing cloud computing projects.
QSC superbly positioned in CaaS
Due not least to the announcement by Deutsche Telekom AG that it planned on fully converting its network to all-IP by 2018, the topic of communications has returned to the very top of many companies’ agendas. Within this fundamental transformation, ever more companies are reviewing a broad range of technology approaches and increasingly shortlisting Communications-as-a-Service solutions. Given its longstanding experience in operating an all-IP network, the backbone of all future cloud services, this is an area where QSC AG can score highly. Experton sees QSC, with its “IPfonie centraflex” and “QSC tengo” products, as being superbly positioned in the leader quadrant in terms of portfolio attractiveness.
