QSC augments Management Board
Cologne, August 18, 2011 - Arnold Stender and Thomas Stoek have been appointed to the Management board of QSC AG effective September 1, 2011. They will be driving the QSC Group's sales and operations into a leading German provider of ICT services for small and mid-size enterprises.
Arnold Stender will be responsible for indirect sales; his tasks will predominantly include intensifying sales activities through distribution partners, as well as opening up new distribution channels for the expanded product portfolio, which has now been broadened to include IT products and Cloud Services. All of the QSC Group's ICT products will be adapted to differing customer needs and to the most suitable distribution channels for each. At the same time, he will also be in charge of overall product management, TC order and customer management, as well as marketing.
Arnold Stender (46) has headed up the Products and Wholesale business units at QSC AG since 2007; prior to that, he had been the management board member responsible for sales and marketing at Broadnet AG, which QSC acquired in 2006. Over the course of his career, Stender has been in charge of building new lines of business and sales of innovative products at Freenet, Bertelsmann, Mediaways and others. Arnold Stender holds a post-graduate degree in Physics.
Thomas Stoek, chief executive officer of INFO AG, will in addition to this function be assuming responsibility for the QSC Group's direct sales activities. This will include the Managed Services business unit at QSC AG, as well as the portfolio of INFO AG and IP Partner AG. The aim is to offer small and mid-size enterprises a complete portfolio of services for all of their ICT needs - from voice-data communication to Housing right through to IT Outsourcing and IT Consulting.
Thomas Stoek (46) has been a member of the INFO AG management board since January 2010, and was named its chairman and chief executive officer in July 2011. Stoek enjoys over 20 years of IT experience at national and international players, including London-based Guardian iT (SunGard), Esker in Lyon, as well as Zend Technologies of Tel Aviv. Thomas Stoek holds a post-graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
QSC AG Supervisory Board Chairman Herbert Brenke explains the reasons for these personnel decisions: "Broadening the Management Board to include these new members underscores QSC's rigorous evolution into an integrated provider of ICT services."
