QSC Gets New Sales and Marketing Head in BoM

Cologne, March 6, 2002 - Bernd Puschendorf, 51, has been appointed as member of the Board of Management of QSC AG responsible for sales and marketing with immediate effect. Puschendorf began his career in 1970 at IBM Germany, where he moved through various sales organizations in management functions. Most recently, he successfully expanded the sales operations for IBM Unix Server products in Germany and in Europe. From 1997 to 2000 he headed the national and international sales operations of the computer division of the Information and Communication business unit at the Siemens group, and from 1999 he acted as speaker of the management board of Fujitsu Siemens Computers Deutschland GmbH. More recently, Puschendorf was Executive Member of the Board of m+s Elektronik AG, Niedernberg until July 2001.

Moreover, Puschendorf is a founding member of the D21 Initiative and was active on its Board until October 2001, an engagement close to the heart of the born Thuringian.

Gerd Eickers, who, in his capacity as Chief Operating Officer, was previously also responsible for sales and marketing, takes over the executive divisions of customer service and order management. In addition, Eickers will take on a greater role in strategic regulatory issues related to competition.

Puschendorf views the expansion of the corporate customers market and the solution oriented marketing approach as his top priority objectives. QSC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Bernd Schlobohm says: "Bernd Puschendorf will press ahead at full speed with the transformation of QSC AG from a technology-oriented to a solution-oriented company."
