Retail company beeline moves to QSC’s cloud
- Cloud-only strategy offers greater agility for growth and innovation
- QSC to operate all SAP applications and further systems
- Move from public to managed private cloud
Cologne, 9 December 2019 – Cloud-only strategy for the retail sector: The fashion accessories provider beeline has commissioned QSC AG to operate all of its SAP applications in the cloud. To this end, the retailer will be relocating its core business management systems from the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and various service providers and proprietary resources to QSC’s managed private cloud. With brands such as SIX, I AM, and TOSH, as well as white labels, beeline is present at 23,000 points of sale in 27 countries. The company currently has 4,500 employees.
The order placed with QSC forms part of a comprehensive programme to modernise beeline’s IT. This should support the strong growth at the group of companies founded in 1990. Vitalij Gitschun, Head of IT Operations at beeline, is building here on digital processes and an agile IT infrastructure: “Given our dynamic development, we need a competent cloud partner to shape our digital transformation with us. Trust and direct communication are crucial for us here.”
Freedom to choose own cloud strategy
In future, the group will procure all services for SAP S/4HANA, including applications such as Retail and Business Warehouse, as well as SAP’s in-house developments and middleware components, from the QSC cloud. QSC will operate the customer’s business-critical applications exclusively at its own high-security data centres in Germany.
